ABOUT

GROWING UP

Chris was born in Ascot, Berkshire and grew up in the neighbouring town of Bracknell. Born into a family of school teachers, education and teaching ran within the family. This wasn’t a passion Chris discovered until the age of 15, when helping out at the local swimming school as a poolside helper. After finishing college with a distinction qualification in Sports and Exercises Sciences, Chris went on to complete his Level 2 & Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training.

CAREER

Taking a gap year after college, Chris entered the world of employment as a full time lifeguard, however he quickly realised that his talents lay elsewhere. His big break came in 2010 when he was appointed Assistant Head Coach & Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach for Rushmoor Royals Swimming Club in Hampshire. Over the following 4 years the club achieved considerable national success, growing exponentially along with Chris’s coaching skills.

Chris left direct involvement in the sporting world behind to pursue a career in the personal training industry. Working in some of the country’s most prestigious and premium health clubs, he honed his knowledge and coaching technique/style. From beginners to national level athletes, from fat loss to building clients confidence, Chris has worked with almost every type, crafting customised sessions to achieve the individual goals for his clients from every walk of life.

SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS

From a very young age, sport has played a huge role in shaping Chris’s life today. His first love was swimming, rising through the ranks as a junior at club level, to representing his county, and going on to gain the honour of a squad position within the Great Britain Olympic potential training squad (2012). Narrowly missing out on GB honours at the senior level, Chris found his new passion within the gym.

Alongside his career as a trainer, Chris has competed in men’s physique bodybuilding and now in Hyrox. In 2023 he qualified for the Hyrox World Championships in Manchester, UK in the Men’s PRO Division.

He has a current Men’s PRO time of 1:08.17, Men’s OPEN time of 1:03.40 and Double’s time of 59:22. Chris is sponsored by Team Myzone and is one of their worldwide athletes.

Continuously striving for excellence within whichever endeavour he takes on, Chris believes everyone can improve the functionality of their physique, no matter what your fitness background.

OUTSIDE OF Coaching

Outside of running a busy business and training himself, most of his free time is taken up by being a father to his son, Leo and daughter, Layla. Long walks around the beautiful Devon countryside are his perfect way to hit the reset button from all of life’s stresses.
